Moon jellies are one of the most commonly found species of medusae in the ocean. They swim by pulsing their bell, and can accumulate in large numbers during the summer months. They are carnivores, feeding on planktonic creatures such as tiny molluscs, crustaceans, larval tunicates, copepods, rotifers and more. They are characterized by their delicate translucent appearance, much like the individual captured on our unique fine-art t-shirt. Did we mention that a group of jellies is called a smack? Pow!
